There are motorcycles in Canada

Canadian Superbike Race Results From Shannonville

I can't believe it. They even have races. Who would have thought they have motorcycles and even motorcycle races in Canada. Doesn't it snow there 14 months of the year?

I've done a lot of work for canadians. Carpentry etc.. they regale tales of 40 below.. No thank you I am content to stay in the land of hula and bikinis and coronas on the beach. Not putting on a shirt for days at a time... yeah, life's good in hawaii.

Ua Mau ke Ea o ka 'Āina i ka Pono

Excuse me while I go flip my steak wearing nothing but a cigarette.

But yeah, I didn't know they had motorcycles in canada either. Do they have chains on the tires for snow?

The funny thing is that most Americans seem to think that Canada = snow, yet out the west coast where I live, it's actually rare for the temperature to drop below freezing, even in January. This last winter I think we had about a half-inch of snow once in Victoria, but the next day the temperature was about 50F and all the snow was gone.

I don't need winter storage, I need rain gear. If you're okay with riding in a bit of rain, you can commute daily.

Well, I suppose I live in the frozen Tundra then... but it's really not that bad. We have a good 6 - 8 months of good motorcycle riding and about 3 months of good sled riding.

You know how in the States, whenever a cold front hits the mid-west, you say it comes from Canada?

Do you know where the weather people up here say our cold fronts come from? Alaska....

I was thinking that, I have some family who live in Alaska. That place makes Canada seem warm.
