many questions...

finally installed a new to me shock on the 250 after being down for 2 weeks...i have been so spoiled with the 60+ mpg on the 250 that the 600 was a gas guzzler in comparison...anyway i just filled up this afternoon and it is $3.69 a gallon...bike is running great...80 degrees today and low 70s tomorrow...my love life sucks...i am a happy camper...

so how is the price of gas in your neck of the woods...?
how is your bike running...?
how is the weather up or down there...?
how is your love life...?

Gas is $2.99 a gallon up here.
I just got the bike up and running again, but it's idling funny and I'm like 80% sure the throttle cable's a little too tight.
Weather's like 40 degrees at night and goes up to 60 in the day
And my love life is pretty vacant, which is good. I don't wanna learn how to ride either as a passenger or with a passenger anytime soon (but seriously, I don't get why more guys aren't okay with riding pillion. Sexism is lame)

first off, I hate you with a jealous weather-born hatred

the price of gas here is anywhere from $2.82 to $3.49
my bike was running stellar last time I rode it on December 27th
the weather is TERRIBLE with sub-freezing high temperatures and near-zero windchills. usually it is in the 30s and 40s this time of year.
my love life, there is nothing happening but I am just cruising along happily by myself

I like this thread

Gas averages $2.00 give or take a couple cents.

The bike is running well enough. Need to replace the clutch, adjust valves, and sync carbs among other things, but still runs strong despite the neglect

Just came home riding through temps averaging 7F discounting windchill.

Love life isn't happening. Not right now, maybe later. Still at that young and awkward age.

Come to California. I'm in one of the colder parts of it, too, up near the mountains and the weather is great year round! Though a lot of people don't ride when it gets down to 40 degrees. Crybabies.

I would like to live in Californa. I have some family in and around the Bay Area. Maybe later on in my life, I'm about to sign away the next three years to the eastern side of the country... enjoy the weather for me

bummer. I understand. I would sooner imagine a girl riding a motorcycle than a gay guy, but I don't know any gay guys so I have no idea lol.

need to find a cooler girl. unfortunately I don't have very encouraging news as I have never met an attractive, easy to talk to, cool, relatively normal (ie not INSANE) girl who rides and knows more or less what she is doing.

except me. lol.

Gas is between $2.47 and $2.29, 60 miles away there is a station with $1.99

Running very well. Planning on a short ride this weekend.

Weather right now is 28°, with daytime temps beimg mid-50's. Sunny and clear, with light overcast moving in inthe afternoon/evening.

Nonexistent, just as I like it.

Why are you filling up at $3.69 when it's $2.69 just down the hill? Do you never leave?!

I know it's 4 gallons so who cars... but what about your cars?!

Been filling up at 2.65. Me likey Been continuing to ride despite the cold because driving the truck is too expensive. Heated gear helps though.

-LPG is $1.03.9 cents per litre. but I'm unaware of anyone that has converted a motorcycle to run on gas.
ULP (Unleaded petrol) has dropped to all time low of $1.28 cents per litre, down from $1.50+ last year.

-Dunno how the bike is running as its sold, but should be absolutely flying one of the fastest Ninja 250's in the state.

-Was stinking hot 44C degrees last week, freezing cold 19C degrees today.

-I haz Lube.

I like this thread

I always find it funny how Maryland has some of the cheapest fuel prices but travel 5 miles to DC or VA and the price jumps by .70 cents a gallon.

I filled up in Frederick MD last Friday 89 was like $2.39

89 is around $2.59 give or take here.
my ninja is probably frozen solid in the shed
weather is cold and windy miserable
but snow covered back roads do make for some entertaining driving, missing my old car right about now
and I'm married with children

Gas around here is $2.39/gallon but my latest fill-up i used my fuel perks and got a nice break in price at $.95/gallon. There's a 30 gallon cap on that and i took all 30 gallons with me.

The bikes started their hibernation the week before Christmas.

Life is kinda boring atm. The GF, dogs and myself are all suffering from cabin fever w/ the recent cold front keeping us inside. Current temp is 9° with a wind chill of -18°. Too cold out for me and GF plus the dogs hate getting frozen to the ground when they pee.

Love the switchbacks, but they're over so soon!

The best part of PV is the cruise and the view. Let's ride some time.

Gas is $1.76 here.

Weather is a little cool with lows in the low 20's and highs low to mid 40's for the next few days. Usually lows are mid to upper 20's and highs low to mid 50's this time of year. But, I guess we gotta have a cold snap sometime.

Both bikes are running great. They like the cold air. Getting the Ninja to warm up is a pain. The air cooled Suzuki warms right up and loves these temps much more than I do. I have no heated gear so I am not going far until it warms up some but am still riding.

Married. I would still like to have a great looking friend to ride with me though. The wife won't even consider sitting on the bike.

I want to do that too. I might have some time in the near future to do a road trip but it might be by truck if it's the wrong time of year for the bike.

how is the weather up or down there...?
how is your love life...?
Gas is $2:10 out here were the corn grows, you can still pay +$3.oo a gal if you go into Chi-town

Bike(s) are on "extended selective availability" That's code for on the stands, on the batt tender, and covered with a blanket in the shop.

weather is s'ass smackin' bone crack'n earlobe snap'n COLD. -9'F two days ago. Highs in the single digits. Looks like it's going to get better middle of the week... everything in my garage is frozen. Cokes, beer, Kroger pink lemonade... the bottom of the cans aren't bowed out but if you shake them, something solid rattles around inside.

love life, yeah, my one and only new years resolution... go on a date this year. I spent 23 years of my life trying to keep women at arms length. Turning the key on that "engine" after that long... yeah. I was never much of a "play'a" to begin with... and things have changed A LOT. My kids are all graduated from college and have jobs of their own. I have no debt other then my mortgage... I'm getting kinda spoiled, I cook what I want, when I want, I clean what needs to be cleaned to my specifications (yes the chain on the bike IS more important then the lunch dishes in the sink)... The cat only bugs me when I forget to fill the food or water dish...

did I mention it's frickin' cold at night around here?

2.39 a gallon here, 14 degreess-brr.
Bike is away for winter but will get some radical cosmetic surgery and some
hp/handling and overall upgrades pretty soon and emerge better than she was before. Better, stronger, faster.

I just got back to Michigan after a week in L.A. Waiting to fly out of DTW, it was 0°F with a -24°F windchill. At the same time (4:30AM PST), L.A. was 55°F with a forecast high of 74°F.

I was a total tourist in my T-shirt and shorts, while my buddy who lives out there (moved from MI a few years ago) was in a jacket, scarf, and gloves.

While we were out there, gas was around $2.70. It's currently as low as $1.77 here.

Hey! Just got word gas has dropped below $2 at several stations in Carson. Fallon is still ripping its residents off with $2.20/regular. Grrrr

Bike still running fab, got in a few hundred miles last weekend.

Weather is partly cloudy at 46* with a forecast this weekend of 64* and partly cloudy. Low's in the mid 30's.

Love life still as a "crazy cat lady in training" (one cat).
