I bring my full rod and tackle on my bike. Pole is stuck inbetween fender and license plate and the tackle box is bungee corded down on the pillion seat.

I did it last spring, same setup, 2 piece rod and tackle in my backpack. Throw in a few walmart bags, best trip I had last spring was to a local small river, caught 8 saugers and kept 5 for dinner.

lol

I do this, cept 2up though. Between the backpack and a tank bag and a small tackle box, it makes for a fun night of catfishin'.

Get a pair of u-bolts and cut a circle from plywood the same size as the bottom of your golf bag. Place the u bolts thru the plywood and over the rear right passenger footpeg. Set golf bag on top of plywood circle and lean it back against turn signal stalk. Lash to bike with bungees. Ride to golf course with bag canted back 30 degrees. Enjoy a nice relaxing game of Flog.

I just chuck a golf-ball sized piece of C4 and a detonator in my jacket pocket. Works great. You get ALL the nearby fish.

Note for our friends overseas:

That's what we here in the U.S. call "redneck."

As cool as it is seeing a fishing pole strapped to the back of bike. It's even more redneck to see 8 surf fishing poles (16ft long) sticking out the t-tops of a 1986 camero on the way to the ohio river for some serious cat fishin'.

You better redneckognize!!!!!

The only thing that sucks is that you cant bring home a nice size eating fish. I often went fishing to the city pier with my bike. Caught a couple nice size mackerels. Had to give them away.

Wrap em in foil and tuck em between the headers(can season and dress the fish first} once you get back home open the hot pockets and enjoy!

I typically carry a 9' long 4 piece fly rod.
