New 07 Ninjette Owner from Memphis!

Hello, everyone. I happened upon this forum in search of information for my new and first bike, a 2007 Ninja ex250!

Found it after searching craigslist for a few months, and this one had less than 10,000 miles, clean body, and fresh maintenance!

$1,600 later...
(from craigslist ad..)

Clocked mileage in my driveway (juuuust rolled over):

And looking good!

Anyways, I've got my mod list and questions and I'll annoy all of you soon enough.. I'm glad to be here and excited to contribute!

Roark

@Jono, admittedly 95% of those 10,000 were from her previous lover. We don't like mentioning it, though

@JohnnyBravo 1. you're my childhood hero. 2. I'm up to 4.5k ahead of you now.. Busy busy!

Thank you, guys. This internet hangout is very welcoming!

Even though she's just getting broken in, she's been neglected a valve adjustment job.

I'll be working on that shortly, likely using the knowledge of this wonderful forum!

Figured I'd review my recent gear purchases:

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-airwave-jacket

The Rev'IT Airwave jacket is a serious godsend for hot and humid summers. I've got the white version, and it keeps me more than cool when it's 95F+. It breathes so well, I have to put a sweater underneath some summer nights! It's got mesh, but only on the inside of the body, with 600D covering the impact zones. Classic Rev'IT build quality, adjustability, and ample storage space for everyday needs. If you have $200 to spend on a late spring/summer/early fall jacket, DO IT. DO IT NOW. A+ jacket.

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/a...rs-sp-2-gloves

Alpinestars SP-2 gloves are full gauntlet, carbon-knuckled, leather construction. Even with the black ones, they breathe VERY well! Definitely confidence inspiring. A+ quality.

Will post more reviews as my wallet allows..

It's pretty easy on the pregen. If you need any help I've done one adjustment on the pregen. Just don't drop the feeler gauge in the engine. Haha. Been there done that.

I've been neglecting to do the valve adjustment on my KLX. Need to get on that.

Nice bike, the pregens are quick. I rode one last week, it felt faster than my 08 when it was stock.

Although I've never done a valve adjustment. It seems pretty easy on the pregen.... now the newgen has shims... so that's a completely different story....

It was VERY easy! If you've got the proper tools, it can be knocked out in a few hours.

Good luck with the newgen!!

Sounds like a plan! That gives me plenty of time to get a valve adjustment done on the KLX. And my engine replaced on the SV650. Transmission died last month. And your buddy to get more miles under his belt.
