Took these myself about 5000 feet up on Angeles Crest Highway, aka, CA 1. This made me feel very small in comparison. It was both beautiful and eerie.

Wait a second... so if I am a machine, what does that mean? I'm trying to visualize.

That should be enough for now. My memory is foggy but I believe the first one was a scientific and logical attempt at explaining how and why women always visit the toilets in unison.

I think there was also something in there about space aliens, cool cars, and other stuff.

Not what it looks like. The lineman hanging upside down came in contact with an energized line and is in cardiac arrest. The lineman who is right side up is performing CPR on his coworker... attempting to save his life.

That's a hell of a way to give CPR.

I wonder if they practice that in lineman's school?

Oh Chris, the one with the man holding his dog!

Here are some particularly interesting to me in an emotional sense.
#1 was realizing the bittersweet relief that I was home.

#2 was a really low point. It wasn't supposed to be rainy OR cold that day. It was. That was about 200 miles from my finish.

#3 was even lower and closer to home. This was after waking up to the aftermath of an overnight ice storm. Exhausted, cold, miserable, done. Just fuggin done. Notice my icy hair.

Note: There were several bright moments and days of sunshine following both of these low points, but they were sure as hell hard to push through.
