Muzzy Exhaust Bites the Dust!

Hello all,

Sadly, I wrecked a few days ago and significant damage happen to my beloved EX250. I want to rebuild it, and am pricing out the parts needed to get it safe and street legal once again.
My gear saved my skin and face... only a small scrape on my shoulder. ATGATT for life!

Regarding the exhaust, I am assuming I can repair the damage to the pipes, but the exhaust can looks too damaged.
Anyone know where I could purchase a new Muzzy exhaust can at a reasonable price? I couldn't find any on Ebay.

Or is there another replacement exhaust muffler that could be bolted up without much modification to the existing pipe?

Pics are failing for me as well; probably want to find another way to post them. The ones in the first post are giving a permissions error, and the ones in the second post are giving a different "forbidden" error.

Thanks for letting me know. Well despite the pics not working. I have found where I can purchase a new system and have an idea how to repair the old one If i decide to be really cheap.

Thanks

you could sell just your header, some just want the header and use the funds towards a shinny new system.

The header is bent up near to where it meets the muffler. I'm hoping i can bend it back with some heat and muscle. but it will never look good again. I'm letting the bike sit until I decide the path I want to take on it.

IIRC, a Danmoto can is the right size and mounts right up. Loud though.

Measure the header at the end. 1.75"? 2.00"? I'm not with my exhaust right now or I'd measure for you.

The Muzzy exhaust is awesome, sucks the can has to go. I have a BCB exhaust on my bike (or will have it) and it's a great alternative if you are into the styling.

I think I can salvage the can. I need fresh packing and I was planning on making a new outside cylinder with sheet steel or aluminum. and rivet it all back together once I bend the rest of it back into shape. I think it is worth a try before i purchase a new part.

As for the BCB kit, I like the sound of the mufflers but I'm trying not to have to rejet the bike with this repair. or spend much $$$. I'm a college grad still looking for a job. lol
