What's your next piece of gear?

Was at Revzilla and saw a bunch of stuff that I want. (Purely for safety reasons of course...)

I think the next piece of gear I'm going to save up for is

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/d...leather-jacket

So what's your next piece of gear?

I'm jelly that you live near Revzilla. I want too much gear, so next on the list is probably the Rev'it Ladies Violet LS Shirt & Pants > Rev'it Women's Galatic Jacket (White) or Dainese Women's Racing Leather Jacket (White).

Already have a nice jacket, helmet, and boots.

Next on the list is armor for the lower body (hips, knees), pants, and a better pair of gloves.

Looking forward to MotoGP. Hope to snag a good deal on Forcefield Pro shorts and Zeus knee guards, Dainese Kevlar pants, and maybe overstock Held gloves.

Finally got gaunlets and boots last summer. New lid in fall. just got an SS Triple Crown 1-piece suit. Good enough for now.

Maybe next season I'll look into replacing my jacket (SS Top Dead Center looks really cool) and getting better race boots. I want to look into a pair of better gaunlets as well.

Its a toss up for me.

I am so tired of the "put helmet and glasses on" and the reverse operation as well. Been really looking at upgrading to a modular helmet. A nearby dealer I trust was recommending the LS2 models as a superb value for the money, but I kept finding a hot spot in the padding right in the middle of my forehead...if it was just the foam, I could dimple it a little, but this is something to do with the padding.

OTOH, I know I have a VERY "Shoei size small head". So, might just save up and splurge and get a Neotech.

But, my boots are starting to wear out, and I know I simply want to do a direct replacement, but it appears the model of boot I have found incredible comfortable is discontinued.

So...I want to get a new helmet, but I may end up having to buy new boots first.

Well I ordered my agv sport pants and jacket, but they've yet to arrive so technically they're still next. Revzilla shipping SUCKS. Up nextnext is probably some proper road racing style boots, Cortech Latigos to be exact, since I'm not sure the pants will go to well with my shorter style SMX-1s.

I have a modular and still need to take off my glasses. If you have a helmet that fits properly, glasses are always gonna be an issue.

The dainese store on San Francisco might still have pairs of the full metal pro gauntlets for 270. Last years model and they are normally 350.

I need to get a pair of decent riding pants....I've been rocking the jeans...bad I know....and I'll probably continue to do so on the 2 mile commute to school once school starts up again but I feel terrible every time I go out for a ride longer than a mile or two without pants.

Ahah! Theres a decent gear shop here in Denver that I can go try pants on at and it'll halfway give me a fix since my bikes back in Missouri for the summer...plus I'll have a full set of gear finally. (Helmet, gloves, jacket, pants, boots)

Make darned sure you can actually get the helmet on over your glasses. I was thinking the same thing but found that I still had to do the remove/replace thing because of the cheek pads.

For me… I've got everything I need at the mo. It'll be replacing stuff that wears out.

My rain suit is (no kidding) over 25 years old and still in good shape, but it's heavy and bulky. If I take a trip I'll probably replace it with something more packable.

I have 3 months to buy all these!

1 Custom suit
2 existing suits in the process of being repaired
Pair of Race Boots
Pair of Race Gloves
2 Helmets
1 pair of under lining
New paint scheme (not gear but will match my custom suit...wooyah!)

Can anyone guess how much all this will cost me? If you're within $50 (below or above) of the total cost I'll throw in a new pair of shades for you ($200 dollar value).

Depending on when cash frees up it will either be Gerbings winter jacket and pants, or 1 piece leather suit. If i get the gerbings then come spring next year i should be able to get the suit and hopefully do a trackday....

Already got my new piece of gear, a "hydration vest" from HD. I can soak it in water for a minute or so and it'll slowly evaporate to keep me cool for a few hours. Love love love it!

Im going to say 4700.
Thats ridiculous. Good luck with that!

I just bought all new gear, so I don't really NEED anything.
I would say my next gear purchase will probably be an armored vest of some kind.

Do you have a link to this (also, I'd love a report on how it works for you)? I just got a Giegerrig Hydration Bladder for myself, but I'm also interested in anything that keeps me cool. This weather is atrocious.

It really is.
I had to squid for the first time yesterday because I couldn't go out with my jacket on. It was like 105 where I am. I would've fried.
Where are you riding at?

As for the vest, HD sells it on their website. I might get one. It looks like a great piece for this weather. HD Hydration Vest
Edit: However I did just notice they only have 3XL and 4XL. Woops.
