New to motorcycling

Hello, everyone! I'm a new owner of a 2012 Ninja 250R and new to riding in general. The previous owner recommended this site. I've taken the MSF twice (the first time was ages ago and I wanted to refresh my skills), but I have only now bought a bike. Also, embarrassed to admit this, but I have already crashed. Obviously, I need much more practice. I'm ok, the bike's ok with minor cosmetic damage, but my road confidence is a bit shaken.

I've gone over it again and again in my mind the last few days. The reason for the crash was lack of Slow Look Press Roll. Therefore, I have named myself TheSLPRer to ensure that I never forget.

Good to meet you all. I look forward to seeing you on the forum!

In my whole riding career (29 years) I've crashed only once, and that was the reason. It was at about your same level of development, too. So easy to lose track of those fundamentals early on....

Glad it turned out okay! Stick with it and you'll do great.

Welcome! I'm new, too, and also on a Ninja250 (mine's an '06). Hopefully this will be your only crash, and you can go have fun on it and be safe.

Welcome! I was thinking the SLPR was short for sleeper like you had some super powerful bike that looks like a stock 250 or something. I'm fairly new as well and have yet to crash, and hope to keep it that way.

I have crashed 4 times actually, different condition and situation each, learned the lesson though.
Hope that will be your last crash, have fun and stay safe

Sad to hear about the wreck, good luck getting back on the bike, slow and steady is the best way to learn.

Welcome, wrecks happen, nothing to be embarrassed about. Live to Ride another Day. At this point its about getting over those fears and learning to trust the bike again.
