How much would you pay?

for a 2002 pregen with 10,000 miles, that was lowsided on its right side. damage to fairing and handlebar. no pictures sorry...

versus a

2007 250 with 2,000 miles, no damage?

Seeing as pregen motors go for ~$350-$450 by themselves, $500 for a full bike is a steal. Does it hold a salvage title?

Well then, make sure you budget for a full fluid and filter change at the very least. Pay attention to tire wear, and brake pad life. See how worn the rear rotor is, that's an expensive replacement part ($230+ from the dealer).

All this stuff adds up quick, that cheap bike might not be so cheap.

the 07 is the better buy for sure, the 02 is better if you don't have cash though. The 02 I'd talk down and probably pay around $600 in the end, the 07 I would talk down because it's probably been sitting a bit and pay around $12-1400 in the end.

<3 pregens, they're so easy to do maintenance on and the only thing you really need to do to them is swap the wheels to get better tires, even then the pirelli scooter tires are pretty good and the bridgestones fit the stock wheels as well

if the 2002 has new oil in it- don't bother. nobody would put fresh oil in that thing unless they were trying to hide blown bearings. if it's got used oil, take some oil out and check it out. if it looks like oil and not sparkley colorful rainbows, put it back and then check the coolant. if its still green, and it doesn't sound like complete **** once it warms up, buy it.

price? add it up:
working pregen 02 motor, $250
registered frame with light damage, $150
undamaged gas tank: $100
undamaged cooling system, $50
if its tires are less than 2 years old and have good tread, +$100

if a part is broken, you aren't paying for it. that means fairings and controls are "worthless" to you in your buy price since you will "have to replace them"

from what it sounds like, the 02 is probably around 500-600.

if it's not registered, don't buy it.

Except if they were doing an oil change. Still worth looking at the oil, but just having new oil doesn't mean bad bearings. I change the oil at least once a year (usually in the spring), even if I haven't put many miles on it.

if it has 0 miles on the oil. don't bother with it. because you can't tell anything about the engine.

I would most definitely look on here and ebay for parts prices for the 2002 before considering it as even a option. Just as said above parts prices could make that cheap bike very expensive after it is repaired.

how about this...don't know much about Suzuki's or rebuilt titles.

I'm selling my 2002 Suzuki bandit 1200S. its the half faired version (S). it has 11405 miles on it. not stock. new Michelin pilot sport 2 tires, current inspection. has a couple little scuffs, no cracks etc. Doesn't leak anything. Fun bike with a good amount of potential in the motor. The motor is a punched out version of the old GSXR 1100 (1157cc vs 1127cc) motor with mild cams for low end and mid range punch and a restricted exhaust. They respond very well to intake/exhaust modifications.
- mesh saddle bags,
- full holeshot exhaust($899) stepped header, free flowing mid pipe and Holeshot muffler
- flush mount led front markers
- clear led tail light with integrated turn signals
- cover
- two half helmet covers
- gsxr 750 intake cam (not installed)
- black pc'd drag bars.
- 5300k hid low beam
- pyramid plastic tire hugger
- cf belly pan
- holeshot stage one jets
- holeshot timing advancer
-k&n oil and air filter
- holeshot PAIR blockoff plates
- silver reflective rim
-includes holeshot round headlight bracket

**** its prices low bc it does have a rebuilt title*****.

Open to trades on other bikes, no snowmobiles or boats, no Honda shadows or the like. I like sport or sport touring bikes
