2009 Owner

Picked up a 2009 250R from a friend who was returning back to his native country. I had helped him buy this Ninja last year after he completed the new rider course. It is in beautiful shape. The previous owner was a gear head and had setup the bike for his wife, so it's lowered. This was perfect for my short friend. But now I'm going to revert it to normal height. So looking for info and advice.

I'm an old guy with lots of riding experience, but always wanted a baby ninja. Small is beautiful.

The pix is of my friend, not me.

Welcome, and to restore to OEM height is easy enough, depending on what they did.

Most likely they changed the dog bones, and maybe pushed the forks up in the triple tree.

This also provides you with the perfect excuse to set the suspension up to your specific wants, and needs.

Enjoy the Ninjette is a far more better and capable machine than it gets credit for, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks, everyone for the warm welcome. I scanned all the Ninja 250 Forums and found this to be the best!

The bones are adjustable with many holes to chose from. I haven't examined which ones are being used today, but will when the weather warms up a bit.

Does anyone have the stock measurement? That would be a bit help.

not me, but I'm sure a NewGen owner will be along shortly.

I do know that the shorter the bone the higher it will sit, might come in handy for setting the sag?
