several times, and my dirt bikes several times a season. I guess those wheels may not be quite as heavy as a liter bike's (which i do not own) but I don't think I have ever had a problem or thought, man this sucks + I usually stick a board underneath it so I don't have to hold it the whole way up and what not, just me?

i have used a board and my foot, but this being adjustable to be able to just roll the wheel in and out with ease. hell yeah. not to mention the pain in the ass it is when you have the spacers falling out at the slightest tilt.

I like it quite a bit. Putting the rear back on is always a pain in the ass without a helper. A block of wood helps, but this makes it even simpler.

$65 on pitbull's site, which admittedly, is a little pricey for what it provides. Might consider it anyway.

I am some what of a cheap ass so me paying $62 for something that is not remotely necessary and is more of a luxury just isn't gonna happen.

To each their own

EDIT: I guess if you have yourself a new 15 R1 like the guy in the video $62 is probably the least of your worries

i have dumped a bike off the stands because the rear wheel got jammed up. so not necessarily a luxury item.

uhhh.... i could see it being super helpful if you work on your bike on a table like a pro mechanic... but... i just use my foot.

the real problem, like BRIAN VAN!!! mentioned is the brake caliper. they used a bike that doesn't really have a problem with it but basically every other bike, the caliper just falls out and never stays in place if you dont have a captive caliper plate and captive spacers

Tip: Use a large zip tie around your brake caliper to hold it in place.

$65 is pretty pricy but I still want one.

I don't take off the rear wheel enough to need this. But cool little jack. If it's $20 bux, I'll think about.

+1 on this tip!!! In fact I have it safety wired so it just moves a little bit and not falls completely off. They even make reusable zip ties if you are the ultimate C.A.R. and dont want to bother with putting a zip tie on and then cutting it.

EXACTLY.

My first thought seeing this a few weeks back - yes it's cool and helpful but probably not $70 helpful. Especially when it's the mother****ing caliper that is the pain in the ass, not jamming your foot in there.

The other part that helps greatly is to partially insert the axle enough where it will hold the caliper holder but the tip of the axle is flush with the end of the axle holder.

Regardless, I still want this wedge. My Bonneville Rear wheel is a heavy @$$ mother****'er

Yeah I do the axle thing but the plate still has a knack for pushing itself off from flush with the swingarm and then falling everywhere/making me curse like a sailor.

I would buy a captive caliper/spacer set for 250s so fast...

I also have captive spacers for my rear wheels. Someone was making and selling them on here for a pretty good price. I can't recall the username who was making and selling them. If I somehow stumble on it, I will send you the info.

Unless someone there is someone on this forum kind enough to remind us who it is or point us in right direction, please do so.

Dont get me wrong, I see a need for something like this - just some of us use a plank wedge since its a virtually free option. Pitbull makes good equip ( planning on a pair of TRS for the trailer ) but they make us consumers pay for it dearly. If it was $45 it would be an easier pill to swallow, especially for privateers and avid trackday'ers

As someone that's done everything possible to make my tire changes as painless and quickly as possible. The pitbull tire wedge is something I will eventually pick up, or make one myself.

Yes you can grab a board and make it work for your bike. I do hundreds of tire changes a year, not kidding. Alot of those are on bike that are not mine, this is where the tire wedge will shine, especially on cruiser tires that weigh 30+ lbs.

$65 is nothing to make my life a little easier I did play with one at Putnam last month and it's pitbull quality.
