I remember this video when we discussed issues with valve float in my car forums. But with my cam and higher redline , I bumped to 130lbs spring rates and a double roller timing chain
Anyone know of the 250r suffering from this with higher rpms ?
One of my favorite videos as well

^^^ that's just plain cool too. Although, if you watch it with your eyes closed you can hear they are simulating racing conditions. I wonder what course and driver they were using?

Really interesting to watch the springs and retainers rotate.
Piston rings do the same thing. That's why staggering rings during assembly is not really needed. It makes assembly easier, but has no bearing on engine life.
Saw a demo of this during an update "school" for small engines. They ran a cutaway engine @ 3200 rpm for 15 seconds. Ring gap spacing had moved a significant amount.
That stuff in the engine moves around more than you think! Lubrication is extremely important.

Cool

In the OP video, each camshaft was rotating at 7,100 rpm (118 turns per second) when the crankshaft was hitting its 14,200 rpm redline (236 turns per second).

Note how the centrifugal effect spreads oil everywhere.

In the second video, each injector was delivering a little amount of fuel 166 times per each second !!!

Crazy. Can't believe my bike can hit 16k. Looking at this just makes me realize how amazing my machine really is.
