New rider / New bike! 300 ABS

Hey guys,

My name's Chris, and I just picked up my Ninja 300 a few weeks ago. I took my written test for the bike license on a whim, because I had a day off. I passed, one thing led to another, I was taking my MSF course and I got my license soon after. At this point, I was bitten. I wasn't planning on buying anything this year, but having had so much fun doing the course, I wanted more, and I couldn't wait. There weren't too many used bikes, and that's what I wanted to start with. I looked at a used '13 CBR500R, but then I found my '13 Ninja 300 ABS, new, for a couple hundred dollars more. It was love at first sight.

I'm really happy with the bike, it's so nimble and it's got some decent go, too. She's all black. I've got a few things planned; front reflector delete, TST Fender Eliminator and smoked LED tail light on the way in the mail, ordered Ebay Dark Smoke DB windscreen, and in the future I'd love the Seat Cowl and a Slip-On. I'm amazed by the fuel economy. Still practicing all my skills, but it's a very confidence-building bike.

Debating if I'd rather keep the stock windscreen, plasti-dip the inside of it, or just go with the smoked DB. I guess I'll have to wait until it gets here on the slow boat from China.

Oh, and I'm from New Brunswick, Canada. And a dude, because I know my username makes it kind of ambiguous. Nice to meet you all!

Same with Alex, seems to be a prerequisite. Luckily there are only two Teri's but we're far enough apart on the continent that the space/time field doesn't collapse from our awesomeness.
