Hello from Rhode Island

Hey Folks.....I'm a returning old member of the forum. I'm Scott in Barrington, RI. I've been riding for decades and currently ride a 2004 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 and my 2005 Ninjette which I have just converted to a cafe. I love my Ninjette despite the chuckles from buddies who scoff at its petite size. I enjoy leaving them and their 1500 CC + bikes in the dust....while getting 60-70 mpg while doing it.

Cool looking bike! Too bad you're on the wrong side of the bay. All the good roads are going west.

Beautiful build on that cafe ninja. I like the faux license on the front fender. Welcome, dude.

What ever happened to that hot girl with the big (whatever they are called) from the bucket? She was looking for someone to do something with. I forget.

I live east of him (by plymouth) and there are a couple good roads. Rochester MA has some beautiful roads.

I would be interested in going out further west though.

You have to wear a helmet in MA. Who would ever want to do that!

welcome back

welcome back

cool ride

man, how are you getting near 70 mpg

i have a 2006 and i use it to commute
the best i can do is in the low 60s

find a measured mile and double check your speedo/od
i noticed mine was a little off and giving me exaggerated mpg readings

vic - the guro on these issues - has provided a few suggestions to max the mpg.
i may try swapping out the sprockets this summer and see how it works
