New rider from TN

Hey guys and gals,

The name is Matt, and my wife is Bree. Just got a 2014 Ninja 300 SE abs with 3k miles for 3800$. Pretty good deal based of the others in the area. Along with a decent price it has a full yoshi exhaust, a k&n filter and a Electronic Jet Kit which im probably going to get rid of and either invest in a pcv or areap. Anybody have any experience with either tuner with a full exhaust and intake pods and smog delete? I ordered the smog delete stuff and the K&n dual pod intake so should be installing all that pretty soon.

My friend from work is a very big ninja 250 modder...so he has already ridden it and thinks its boring. says the power is too linear and always there. he likes the kick of late power from the 250. But hes going to definitely going to help me mod and has alot of input on the bike.

My only problem is i cant fully double flat foot it and that bothers me. I can about half foot double, and single foot flat foot. Idk if thats really a problem or not...just bothers me.

mods list so far:
yoshi full exhaust
k&n drop in filter
EJK tuner

On the Way:
K&n dual pod filter
Smog delete plate
Ebay Shorty levers

Soon:
636 Headlight
AVT Fender eliminator with tail light
Full sliders
Oem solo seat cowl
saddlemans low seat
New Grips
maybe new windscreen
SS Brake lines with Amsoil Brake FLuid

Thats as far as i got so far, im not gonna do sprockets just cause its going to be my daily.

Welcome, Matt!

Not being able to dual-flatfoot is only a problem if it bothers you.

Welcome. There is a ton of info on the 300s in the wiki.
I only touch the ground with my toes, I can not flat foot either. Try boots with a slight heal, it should help.

Welcome! There are a few riders from Tennessee and even some near your area (if you're in Dandridge) Maybe we can go ride sometime.

In fact we are planning a ride this Sunday if you'd like to come. (I'm slow so don't worry)

Hey from another TN rider. If ya wanna be able to flat foot you could try lowering dog bones and that should do it.

Oh, No! Did you pick that bike up from a girl name Kate? If so, I had my eye on it!!! Personally, I prefer that nice linear powerband. if you want to downgrade, let me know and we'll work something out ;-)
