I'm noo to this site. Noobie is here!

Hey all, I'm in Pensacola, just got a 2010 ninja 250 in light / flourescent green. I Love her, have named her AppleBottom (cuz she is sour apple green). She had only 2,500 miles and thanks to all of y'all. I will be getting oil changed to synthetic, get a larger battery, and adding Stabil and Seafoam.

Talk to ya later!

Welcome. You don't really need Sta-bil or Seafoam if you ride regularly.

...and since you're in FL, you better ride regularly!

I don't ride regular enough, just to work and back and work is only 8 minutes away! She is already idling roughly and I recently had to keep the choke on to get her not to stall on way to work. Intervention time.

Keep trying seafoam for another tank or two to see if it'll clean up the carbs enough for you to ride w/o using the choke. After a few miles, are you able to dial the choke back and have the bike run smooth without any signs of stalling?

If the seaform doesn't solve the problem, it looks like you (or a professional) will need to take apart the carbs for a nice deep cleaning.

If not, you'll experience running extremely rich with the choke and you'll see horrible gas mileage.

Thank you, Cadd. I love my new/used bike... hate that the choke is keeping her running. Oh hey, Pensacola FLORIDA is on a freeze warning tonight!! Who sent the cold this way?! I don't have a warm enough jacket or warm enough gloves. It's 39 out right now! I was hoping to get a good picture of me on the bike to upload to my profile, can you see me in winter clothes in Florida? Not! LOL.

Oh why not? Have a profile pic of the rare and mysterious Florida polar bear. Much different than its northern cousins.

Welcome! Been through Pensacola a few times while over in Destin for a conference. Nice area you have around there.

try adjusting the idle screw next to the tank on the left side of the bike.
