SOO glad I found this site!
Hello fellow cycle lovers!
I'm Ryan, motorcycle lover and Ninja 250 owner from little ol' Boise Idaho. (That's the funny looking state between Montana and Washington/Oregon) Hard to believe that I have owned my little 250 for about 20 years now. I love the little guy, and I have done my best to care for it to the best of my abilities the whole time. For being a 89, it's very low mileage and clean. Mostly because I'm careful with it, and around here weather can regulate when you can ride. (unless you have a death wish). Only spilled once, and other than the fuel tank that caught the handlebar, I have replaced the damaged parts to good as new. But he hasn't been 100% since day one of my ownership. Hoping you guys and your outstanding knowledge (why I joined) can lend some advice, and help my frazzled mind and exhausted efforts to make it run proudly again. (or how I assume he ran when brand new). Thank you for this wonderful web page and your outstanding knowledge and advice. And thank you for allowing me aboard! I have a conundrum that I am at wits end with.. I'll find the appropriate category to post in. Looking SO forward to hopefully getting to the bottom of this 20 year long issue! |

20 years. I'm impressed. Make a thread in the 86-07 Tech Talk for your problem and you'll probably get the help you need. Also, welcome welcome!

Welcome.
The tech sub forum might help. But, why do you think it is not 100% or has been since you have owned it?

hahaha! I have no doubt I'm gonna like it here!
Thanks again for the welcome, guys! I have composed (in great length, I'm afraid) a detailed (I hope well enough) rundown of the issues that have been plaguing my machine for so long, and things I have done (as well as some personal thoughts that are likely to be off base) to try to quell its cough! I'll post it, as suggested, in the 86-07 Tech Talk section in a bit. I can't wait for your feedback.. The anticipation that I might actually be able to see this thing run properly for the first time in 20 years, is KILLING me! But go easy on this newbie, while I get my legs.. lol! |
