Another one from Iowa!
So this isn't technically my first post... I already asked a question today and got wonderfully helpful replies. But I wanted to properly introduce myself.
I've got a 2011 Ninja 250 that is technically my second bike. I sent my first bike, a Honda Rebel, into a ditch and while it was in the shop I decided to "upgrade" to the sport bike. I'm short and was (still am) super afraid of crashing, which is why I started out with a lower bike. However I went on one test ride on the Ninja and absolutely LOVED it. No regrets here, even though I have to "kickstand" at a standstill. With less than a year of riding experience, I moved to Iowa for a job and I'm still looking for fellow riders in the area. Thanks for all the welcomes!
@CaliGrrl - It's awesome and i want to see the number of female riders continue to go up! @Ghostt - Yes Yes and YES! ATGATT and continued learning, all the way. It's actually about time for a refresher MSF course, now that I've been riding for a couple years now. My old boss, who was instrumental in getting me on two wheels, told me about Brittany Morrow's story. She's an inspiration and there's not point to relearn her lesson if I don't have to. @Racerx we should meet up sometime! |
