F***ing focus cut me off :(

Yup, crashed the bike today and spent the rest of the day in the ER.
I'll post up the details as soon as i can type better as my thumb is busted. Going to get pictures of the bike too. Not sure how she looks.....

Ok, so here's what happened..
My boyfriend and i were riding up to Cycle Gear, i was in the lead. the one lane of traffic splits into two so we were in the right lane with on car up at the light. Line of stopped traffic in the left. Light had just turned green so we kept cursing down the lane, i got about a car length away from focus boy decides he wants my lane. don't think he even looked. i tried to swerve around him but just didn't have time... So BAM, i slam into the side of the car..... ****ing ouch!!!!
Onto the pavement i go and my bike landed about 20 feet away. Boy friend was by my side in an instant.
The guy took 100% responsibility for it with the cops. Apparently he was almost in tears over it. Can you guess what he said??
I didn't see her....

So sill don't know what the bike looks like other then one side is smashed to bits and at least on of my pegs was off.
I have a badly sprained ankle, some hairline fractures in my left index finger and my right thumb is kinda shattered dowe by where it meets my wrist. I'm right handed to.... That will need surgery when the swelling goes down.

i'll post pics soon..
by the way i just typed this with two figures on my left hand. lol

ATGATT....

That Sucks It can make you scared and want to quit. It is very important to start riding again asap so you can fight this feeling.

Yea, dont try to stop a car with a bike! More seriously i know not to assume that the cars will stay where they are. but i think he would have gotten me no matter how fast i was going. He just shot out of traffic like a gun....

the car, i think the line right behind the side mirror is where my handlebars hit and the one more forward and lower is the slider. i think the dent on the fender may have been my hip.....

Nope, thems the rules on the site, you crash a 250 it's time for an R6

Poll: Did you crash you ninjette and then get an R6?

I didn't crash my 250 so I only test rode an R6

Thought you've been here long enough to know that

You know while they do say to make a good first impression, I think "Focus meet Ninja" is going a little far. But that is a great impression.

And what's with this Yamaha Bolt thing, go big! Ducati!

It seems that the car cornered you against the curb and after the impact, the driver finally "saw you" and turned left before stopping.

Did you notice that you deflated his front tire?

Did you land on the street, on the curb or on the grass?

I always take my car to cycle gear. If there's something I need from there, chances are, I don't care to ride there without it, or carry it home on the bike.

not sure what he did, possibly. thats now where he stopped, he pulled to the side like that after.

Yes, i saw that. i think the slider got it.

I landed on the line between the right lane and turn lane.
