Hey Everybody!

Hi! My name is Mat. I have been riding for 8 years. I started with a '94 Ninja 500 until 2012 when I was able to afford my lust bike, an '07 Triumph Daytona 675. I just purchased a lightly used and somewhat abused 2010 Ninja 250R. She is going to be a long haul commuter and possibly a track/race bike in the future. It has some issues I hope to get sorted out soon.

It was an auction purchase. Someone parked it too close to a bonfire and melted some bits on the rear of the bike. Then someone fiddled with the ignition so it wouldn't start and the insurance company totaled it out. The seats are already getting re-covered, they got melted too. Only 3k miles and a decent price for me though!

A few odds and ends will get it back on the road. It starts and runs but the carbs. need a good going through and it desperately needs a new chain. Any pointers to a factory service manual or a good how to would be greatly appreciated.

My immediate plans include:
Oil Change
Coolant Flush
Brake Fluid Change
Fork Oil Change
Carburetor Cleaning
General Cleaning
New Chain, possibly new sprockets
Replace Brake Light, License Plate Light Cover, Left Rear Turn Signal, Rear Quarter Fairing, Rear Quarter Faring Plastic.
Set the sag and see how much suspension work needs to be done.
A Good Crash Protection Kit
Peel the hideous tank protector off!

Thanks everyone.

Well I got the 250 back together and on the road. Fun little bike. Suspension is mushy but you can really throw it around and it sure is fun to be able to run out first gear in the city!

if you havent changed the fork oil yet, I would recommend doing springs of .75 or .80 at the same time.
