New V-Rossi 3-4.5" or 3-5.5" rim set $215
After looking EVERYWHERE for these rims I have finally found someone in Indonesia selling the new set of V-Rossi rims for 2009-2012 carbed model Ninja 250R. The old model that Andy was selling is discontinued in Indonesia. I had to dig all over the Indonesia forums and use translator. LOL
This person is selling a set of front 3" and rear 4.5" or front 3" and rear 5.5" for $215. 3 days shipping $260 and 3 months shipping $95. So if you have 3 months to wait it'll be total $310. I just ordered me a set of 3-4.5" because the 3-5.5" requires swingarm mods. I do not know if this person is legit and although he claims it's plug and play, I am not sure. When or if I receive the rims I will find out. If you are interested message me and I'll give you his Blackberry PIN #. Just download BB Messenger and tell him 'Thai' referred you. His English is good enough to understand. You might want to wait if you're afraid to lose money. I jumped on this quick because once he realizes the price people in the U.S. are willing to pay, I'm sure he'll increase the price. Below is pictures of the new set of rims. As you can see, the style looks like the one Andy was selling for the Ninja 300. Last futzed with by NinjaZX6R123; May 16th, 2014 at 08:44 PM. |

I hope this isn't a scam to be honest. If you want to wait, I'll let you know if it's a scam or not. If not, I'll post pictures once it's on my bike.
I am not a scammer though. Just trying to help the Ninjette community out bro. If you look at my older thread, I ordered the 31BLK street fighter kit from Josh Brasse as well. The kit has yet to arrive as he claims to be super busy and also, I had him do some custom work on the existing kit. He even made a bracket for my Koso RX2 gauge. Will update that thread once everything is set up. Also, while looking for these rims I found out that the old rims are sold for $95 USD in Indonesia. Damn they have it good regarding price wise. |

From my experience buying parts in Indonesia you shouldn't look at it as scam.
Good luck anyway. |

I agree. When ordering from other countries and they only accept wire transfer it's always a risk. I guess I'm being the guinea pig for people who are interested in these set of rim.

isn't that just a ninja 300 OEM rim?
maybe look for someone parting out a 300, you may pay a little more but you'll be able to get it in the US and possibly from another member |

I believe the stock Ninja 300 rear is 4". So it looks similar with different measurement. These are 4.5" or 5.5" depending on which size you want to get. Does the stock Ninja 300 rim fit the Ninja 250? I haven't read of anyone doing that yet. |

Yeah they do. Unless you are right and they are the same. I'll have to wait and see. I like the look of the other rims better to be honest in the other rim thread as they look like the more expensive rims that's sold in the U.S. Too bad that model has been discontinued. Also, while searching for rims in Indonesia I found out that there's two different types. Carb and FI. They mostly carry FI models which the front rim has 3 or 5 bolts instead of our 6. This is probably why Andy and Sportisi only sells the rear.

Great. I knew the rims + shipping = $215 was too good to be true for Indonesia.
3 days shipping (air) = $260 3 months shipping (sea) = $95 I chose 3 days because I can't wait 3 months. Besides it's the money from the stock fairings and tires I sold. Will update once it gets here. If this is legit... then $310 is still a fair deal if you have 3 months to wait. |

Yes, but it was in a thread talking about rims. So I didn't save the link. Just sent him a BB message. If you're interested I can give you his BB PIN.
Once I verify that this seller is legit and the rims fit. I will update the first post with pictures and his BB PIN. Here's a link I also found of someone selling the same rims but this is for the FI model. The front won't fit the USA Ninja 250. http://otomotif.pelapak.com/velg-nin...l#.U3bf9LkU-M8 |

It is done this way in Asia Payment is usually by bank transfer In fact here folks openly give their 10 digit account number & you can just transfer payment from your account to theirs completely online. Banking here is actually easier than my home in the USA Seems very secure too. As soon as you log in you get a email confirm etc. You set up the transfer & your bank sms you a one time password you need to input into the online transfer & then all done under 3 minutes. No fees So most Asian businesses here do not want to deal with credit cards especially from a foreign country although some do. + their 2% fees etc. As they operate on a tight profit margin But yes I think you will be fine & this is quite normal here |

So the rims came today. The packaging is terrible as it's in the factory box with no protection. The rims are brand new but due to packaging it came in there was a minor paint chip on the lip of the front rim. No big deal though. Nothing but some touch up paint can't fix. I'm happy with this order.
Tomorrow I plan to install these rims onto the bike and will post more pictures of it on the 250. |

Good deal & rims look good. On the packing yes that did not look like much packing but on the other hand many Indo shops want to crazy over pack in wood crates. As you can imagine it drives the shipping weight/costs into overdrive Congrats |

You're right about that, but I rather not. I got the front to fit but had to add a washer to make it a good fit. I'll just get the rear somewhere else. I knew I should've bit the bullet and paid for the Gale Speed rims. Twice I have ordered from Indonesia and was disappointed. Never again.
They're great for aftermarket mods when you don't care for quality. |

Look for a 300 swing arm. I think that a ex500 could.fit with slight mod to width at axis.

If it helps at all, my (not yet installed) old-style wheels from Andy measure about 70mm from the centerline of the wheel to the rotor mounting surface. I used my digital caliper, but the shape of the wheel doesn't work well for lining up both points, so there was a bit of eyeballing involved. That might at least tell you if your wheel is way off from mine.

I thought with a wider rim, you'll have to make a custom mount bracket to re-position the brake caliper.
I swear I remember seeing that here somewhere....I'm to busy right now to try to find it.. |

Maybe it would have been better to get the Chemco, since they are real good quality, but they have two discs in the front (what you must not use)

I have a 2011 250 and mounted the rear rim of the newer 2013, which allows me to use a 140 rear tire.
It mounted fine, no additional mods needed. |
