I love supersports re-purposed for dirt use, it just screams "I like sliding the rear out"

Bought a couple of these things. to help with my second HID installation and promptly discovered that you can't plug them together. Well, you can, but they will lock together and not come apart without breaking. They will plug and unplug the Kawasaki parts just fine, but there is a tab in female part locks into hole in male part. The least they could have done was make the tab face the other way.
If you only lock one blade then you can manipulate it out without breaking anything, but if you lock both blades in a rigid connector you will likely break the ceramic to get them apart (one of mine broke and the other didn't). The edge holding in one female connector broke, freeing the connector, which allowed me to manipulate the other blade out without breaking it. Luckily, I only needed the male side to splice into my HID kit, but it looked like I actually could fix the broken-loose female connector by ejecting the other connector and putting them into the ceramic upside-down (looked identical). The boot would then cover the broken side. I was ready to just shatter the ceramic and save them for future use as loose connectors when I noticed that. Stupid design, but works for what I need it for. |

Going to try these:
http://voltheat.com/product/volt-3v-heated-socks/ They are the only ones I've found with an expanded battery pack. If correct and the socks do live up to the claim, they are the only ones that have the power to last during an all night ride - on low, they almost last for an entire day! Approximate Battery Run Times for VB320 /3.7v 2000mAh batteries (included) 100% Highest Setting = 3+ hours 75% Medium/High = 4.5 hours 50% Medium/Low = 6 hours 25% Low = 10 hours Approximate Battery Run Times for VB50 /3.7v 5000mAh batteries (optional) 100% Highest Setting = 8+ hours 75% Medium/High = 12 hours 50% Medium/Low = 16 hours 25% Low = 20+ hours

I know it's not gear, but I didn't feel like starting a new thread. Today I got a new tool cabinet to replace my old one.
The new cabinet is the Husky 46 in. from Home Depot. It's replacing my old roller cart from Harbor Freight. I got a lot of use out of that four drawer cart, but I was in need of something with more storage space. I considered the 44 in. roller cabinet from HF, however for $100 less I decided to get the Husky one instead. It does have less drawers and a lower weight capacity than the one from HF, but it should be fine for my use. I also think the wood top is a nice touch, and I prefer the black finish over red. For the price I think it's a pretty good deal.

Got my second bonus ever just after Christmas. I got myself a belated present. A set of Gerbing EX heated gloves. Can't wait for the fog to clear so that I can test them out. My commute is going to be awesome with heated liner and gloves! |

Got me some tools. I got tired of making due with mixed matched sets. Tooltopia has excellent prices. The baby air ratchet is pretty badass by Florida Pneumatic. Can torque to 25lbs. Has 2 slides to switch direction. Home depot has best pricing on that and is made in Japan.

Got me some dunlop rains, 2 rears and a front for a real good deal. I've been liking my Q3s quite a bit and I like dunlop as a brand so I get the feeling I'll be running dunlops on my gsxr for the upcoming race season. Now to get some extra wheels to mount them on so it's easy to swap when the time comes.
pic isn't of the ones I got which are slightly used (front has more wear than both of the rears )

Teri, any update? I'm interested in finding out if the pinlock you got turns that purplish hue that older photochromic glasses have. Not a fan of that... I prefer straight neutral gray.

The pinlock shield should be here tomorrow. I wanted to get the pictures with the insert in the shield for the most accurate color, but i will say it seemed to stay in the gray smoke range.
Now lets hope its sunny on Saturday...

Once I have the budget together for parts I'm switching to a newgen front end and swingarm for the 17" tires
pirelli drII for dry and some dunlop 125cc race rains for the wet if i don't find any better rains http://stores.racetireservice.com/DU...AIN-SET-125CC/ I'm also looking into getting some bodywork for the bike though I may end up just making my own with the multiple sets of broken 250 fairings that I have already As much as I enjoyed riding the gixxer last weekend the 250 is every bit as fun and puts a lot less force on the body under braking and accelerating. Ideally I'll turn my 250 into a track weapon that's every bit as good as a newgen race bike so I can race both bikes in the future

Ok, best I could get with the lack of sun. It has an odd hue in the pick but it didn't look that bad in real life. I think it'll be darker when better sun. Be able to give a better review when I can get back on the bike.
